My Digipak

Why did I do this Digipak?

My Digipak was made to be sellable to a particular audience. The indie genre is widely considered for its simplicity which helps it to have such a dramatic emotional effect unto the audience. The concept behind this black and white imagery is to have a message behind it of 'loss' or 'heartbreak' which is evident in our music video. Therefore, I see this digipak as applicable to an indie market and portrays the music substantially. Other examples which I have explored show this effectively which you can see below.

How did i Do it?

I used the 'properties tab to lower the colour of the previously coloured picture. I had to lower the different colours to the correct setting in order to change the filter to black and white. I was also able to get rid of the number plate by using the 'clone stamp tool' and covering it.

The use of the 'Text' tool is prominent here as the placement was key to show both the image and the lyrics. I also changed the saturation so the the artist was highlighted in the middle.

Here I was able to fade out the background of the image by lowering the opacity on the top half of the image and using the gradient editor to adjust the colour.

Inspiration: Black and White style
